About Dr. Havlovitz

Dr. Holly Havlovitz always knew she wanted a career involving animals. She grew up in the small town of Denmark with a multitude of pets including dogs, cats, rabbits, hamsters, and parakeets. While attending college, she considered a career in wildlife biology, but after volunteering many hours in veterinary clinics, she realized that veterinary medicine was what she really wanted to do.

Dr. Havlovitz received her DVM from the University of Wisconsin-Madison after graduating from UW Stevens Point, where she had majored in Biology and minored in Chemistry.

She worked in a small animal practice in Stevens Point before joining the team and then becoming a partner at the Fredonia Veterinary Clinic.

Dr. Holly provides medical and wellness care for the small animal patients at FVC.

“ I really enjoy getting to know my clients and their pets, and caring for my patients from puppy or kittenhood all the way to their senior years.”

Dr. Havlovitz and husband Shane Cherney and their 2 daughters (Kaylee and Brooklyn) live in Cedar Grove with Swiffer (shih tzu), Jingles (yorkie mix), Cricket (the cat), and Henry and Shadow (the rats!). Besides caring for all their own pets, the family also fosters cats and kittens for the Sheboygan County Humane Society.

When not working Dr. Holly is a very involved Mom, wracking up the miles traveling for her daughters’ activities (dance and gymnastics). In her free time she enjoys flower gardening and horseback riding.
