About Dr. McGill

Dr. Shannon McGill has a curiosity for animal medicine that can't be tamed. Her main interest is in equine medicine, but that is by no means the end to her broad expertise. At Fredonia Vet Clinic, Dr. McGill sees animals of all shapes and sizes from equine to sugar gliders

Dr. Shannon McGill brings with her an extensive and well traveled experience set. She received her DVM from the University of Illinois after graduating from Miami University in Oxford, Ohio. In addition to her intensive schooling, she completed an Equine Rotating Internship at University of Illinois where she was able to focus on equine and large animal medicine, surgery, and critical care.

In Spring of 2013, Dr. McGill had the chance to travel abroad to Ireland and provide veterinary care to the Donkey Sanctuary in Mallow as well as assist with primary care at Troytown Greyabbey Equine Veterinary Services in Kildare.

Outside of work, Shannon enjoys the company of her pets: her dogs Bailey and Phil, Bubba the snake, her horse Mikie, and crested gecko Phineas.
